Rhonegletscher by Hansjörg Sahli (2018)

40,00 / Sold Out

Hansjörg Sahli dedicated three years to photographing the Rhone Glacier, starting in July 2014 when the glacier was covered in fabric.

"At that time, the covered glacier appeared quite organized. The blankets were pristine white, tightly stretched, and the ice underneath looked voluminous. The covered portion of the glacier was noticeably elevated compared to the rest of the ice tongue in front. The purpose of the blankets, which was to protect the ice and the ice grotto below from solar radiation, was evident," he explains.
