Sterling Silver 925 Necklace.

A button, simply.

Hand-carved, slowly, until its imperfections became its beauty. Every mark bears the trace of a gesture; every uneven edge is a reminder of the time spent bringing it to life.

I made this piece while living in Denmark, during a jewellery workshop.
I decided to create the simplest object I could think of: a button.
For nearly an hour, I carved it in wax, one cut after another, until this familiar little object seemed to take on a life of its own.

For a long time, I didn't know what to do with it. I hesitated to sew it onto a jacket, to let it remain what it had always been. Instead, I chose to wear it close to the heart.
So this ordinary object became a necklace.
